This is a really awesome place, worth a visit of a long time.My only downside to this place, is the amount of people visiting at the same time.We were exhausted and hungry after 2,5 hours. But we could have spent double the time if we let ourselves dive into the details of each area.I would definitely recommend visiting Miniatur Wunderland!

This is the reason I went to Hamburg, and it did NOT disappoint. It was one of the coolest, most unique places I've ever been to! I was blown away by the attention-to-detail in literally every exhibit. Every exhibit constantly changes too, with night/day cycles and special lighting at "dawn" and "dusk". I spent hours here, and I probably could have been there the entire day! There are countless interactive buttons you can push, which make special things happen on the exhibits. One of my favourite exhibits was the airport, with miniature planes continually taking off and landing... it's just amazing! Children and adults alike will find their imaginations running wild here; it's unbelievably cool! There are also food options and lots of cool souvenirs and gift items available. I bought a ticket ahead of time and went straight in when I arrived, without any wait. It's truly an unbelievable place, I recommend it wholeheartedly!

This place is truly a marvel, even if you're not a model making fan.All the models are crafted with exceptional detail and they're full of buttons for the whole visiting experience to turn from passive to interactive at will.On the other side, the place feels very touristy, with souvenir shops packed with unrelated stuff, and a "restaurant" too. Too much people can ruin your experience, and a Saturday evening would not be the perfect day to be there.

Just wow !!! It's an amazing museum. So much to see and be amazed. We spent around 4 hours seeing all the models. The best was the airport and airplane model. It's wonderful place to get kids and even the old ones enjoy the museum. There are many different models. Buying tickets in advance is highly recommended. There is a restaurant as well in the museum. Breakfast and lunch options were good. I recommend booking tickets for the morning slot so that you have enough time to explore the whole museum.

Absolutely astonishing, there’s a million adjectives I could say about this place and I can’t seem to find a word for this masterpiece. The first sections were gorgeous the rooms are air-conditioned and that but also the details of every single man in the huge miniature model of Hamburg,Switzerland,Austria and the alps is living. I can visually guess that about 89 percent of all models is movable. Every aspect of the model including underground and above in the sky is shown in full detail. The posters for example are always made in local languages going with the theme.The most outstanding part for me was the airport (since I am a huge avgeek myself) the details as I can see is stringent to a almost horrible level. The airplanes are just so lively as if they were real. Almost every model plane can taxi by itself and a lot of them can even takeoff and land by them self even with features such as gear-tilt included. There’s also the airbus beluga, Junker 52, Boeing 777-300 ER etc.I would say that the this place is really really really worth your visit because you can feel the heart of the builders, you can feel that they build for the fun, not for the money!Please, if you every happened to read this. Go to Hamburg and visit this place. Bucket-list worthy!

Every time I am in Hamburg I visit this place, and it never fails to impress me. There are always some new details I get go notice, or completely new set-ups to explore (like South America this time, Monaco is now work in progress). Great museum! We spent over 5 hours on our visit, and it felt short. The model trains, cars, boats, and airplanes are all fantastic, and the attention to detail is second to none. All the little easter eggs are fun to find! Highly recommend!

It’s beautiful, it’s mesmerizing, you’d have to spend at least two full days there to discover most of the little details. I’ve been here at least 8 times, and I keep finding new things every single time. However, the place is always completely filled with people, no matter what day it is. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing your tickets online at least one week before, to have a chance at getting in at a normal time. Unless of course you want to stand in a queue for 5 hours, not gonna judge that.

Amazing 🤩 has been on my bucket list for many many years, I did 2 back stage tours. In total I spent about 10 hours here! And I'm sure there were lots of little details I still didn't see. The food in the diner is very reasonably priced and is large servings!Overall very satisfied. This place is amazing.

Such an AMAZING place! They even had a control center. Was so mesmerized by the amount of detail they put in all the cities. The airport with all the planes taking off and everything else happening there made it feel like it was connected to a real airport. The historic dioramas were really interesting too - being able to see how things changed over time. Definitely had a great time here and will be back again next time.

We went here as a family and had a very enjoyable time. I recommend you schedule a whole day here. We spent 5 hours here. There are plenty of different countries on view including Germany,Italy, America and Switzerland. If you look closely there are many hidden jokes like the millennium falcon at the airport and Batman and Robin scaling one of the buildings. We also did the virtual reality part of the tour which was amazing. You can also have a 3D picture taken which you can have as a plastic figure. Loved it.

It gives you a better idea of the work that has gone into this endeavour. They are available in English and German. Also, if you have a partner who is not so much into model trains, tell them that it is it is not so much about model railways, but complete miniature worlds. You won't need to leave for lunch either, as they have a cafeteria and the seats are from real railway carriages.The first three photos are from the behind scenes tours. The last three are to give you an idea of the detail involved. Initially you see a mountain holiday retreat, but when you look more closely you will see a man standing at a table, with cakes on the table, and a lady lying down reading a book.

One of the most amazing miniature worlds that I have visited. Have been to other such places in south east asian countries which are also very good, but this was on another level. The attention to detail in every miniature is just awesome. Also did their virtual reality tour which was also just a wonderful experience. Pls book well in advance to get a better time! Even at 23:30 it was still amazing. Just wish we had more time, there was so much to see and do. They had buttons for many of the things where something would happen. Also the light changes in intervals from daylight to nighttime and some of the buttons only work in nighttime. Super cool! If ever we’re in Hamburg again, we would definitely go for either half a day or the whole day.

Fabulous place to visit! Image a warehouse FULL of train sets, over multiple floors and now add cars, trucks, planes, not only trains. Amazing! There’s a “night time” every 15 minutes or so where all the lights go down it looks stunning.The level of detail here is unreal, so many hours have gone into creating this.The gift shop is also very good, which is a nice change from most tourist attractions.

Simply amazing! Was a fun experience. The amount of details is crazy. Also, the whole exhibition is interactive so you’ll get engaged as soon as you start your visit. I’d recommend getting the tickets beforehand because the place gets crowded. It has interesting exhibitions already but they’ll add more soon and I bet it’ll be just as great. You are on your feet for a while but you can take breaks in the canteen or limited seating areas. Worth a visit when in Hamburg.

The place was quite huge and so detail! Great place to go for diorama fans & those with children, you could truly spend hours here. My family and I spent about 4 hours, including shopping time.The only flaw was it was charged €0.50 for cloakroom per item (we didn’t use this) and there were no info about the locker room which was free. But overall was enjoyable and could be considered when you plan to visit Hamburg.

Incredible place with extremely detailed models. The are some awesome experiences there too, like shrink into wonderland were you where a VR headset and you can pretend your in the models. There is a cafeteria with decent food especially for a museum. The gift shop is quite nice and reasonably priced. I would recommend buying tickets in advance as buying at the museum can take awhile, it is conveniently located in the center of Hamburg. The airport and trains are just beautiful, if you took a zoomed in picture someone would have no idea it was a model. Even the hall between sections has some lovely miniature landscapes, and a great view.

Every exhibit had a day and night view.It's a treat to watch the airplanes take off and land. There is a display which shows which planes are going to be next in the queue. Kids enjoyed watching the Millennium Falcon and the Concorde.There are chairs to rest occasionally and continue through the exhibits. A good cafe for a break and restrooms on every floor.The VR experience is wonderful and definitely recommend it. Also, when you purchase a ticket for any of the experiences, the entry time to the exhibition area is not fixed. we had a great time here! we were there from 7.30am till 4pm. the details are amazing and so real, from the trains, buildings, landscape etc. they didn't miss a single thing! there's so much to look at and admire.
