Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung is a South Korean television series that originally aired on MBC TV. Set during Korea's Joseon Dynasty, the show switches back and forth between two timelines, in the early 19th century and events that occurred 20 years earlier. The main character is Goo Hae-ryung (Shin Se-kyung), a 26-year-old female historian posted with the government who gets romantically entangled with Prince Dowon (Cha Eun-woo).

Based on the novel by D. H. Being a Queen and a Mother
Audiences love the setting as well as the costumes and the royal intrigue. Queen Hwa-ryeong is an excellent character that might remind Bridgerton fans of Queen Charlotte, who also had trouble making sure her children produced an heir. Under the Queen's Umbrella holds a 95% rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.
